Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area Administration (hereafter referred to as Dapeng Bay Administration) and Hengchun Peninsula Tourism Industry Alliance held the first inspection tour under COVID-19 on May 25. During the three days and two nights at Dapeng Bay, the tour participants enjoyed Little Liuqiu, too, including water activities. The organizer noted that as long as people follow disease-prevention measures, exploring the bay and the islet during this time can still be safe!
According to Dapeng Bay Administration, most of the tourist activities are held outdoor at the bay and in Little Liuqiu, and Dongliu Line shuttle boat companies, Dapeng Bay lagoon cruise companies, B&Bs, and restaurants all proactively take measures against COVID-19. Limited entrance for tourists at tourist attractions is also in place during weekends and national holidays. The goal is to make visitors feel safe while traveling in this region.
Since the pandemic has been well under control in the past few weeks, Ministry of Transportation and Communications raised a few concepts about traveling in times of COVID-19. For Instance, there should be a spare seat between each passenger on a tour bus. In terms of accommodation, options for one person for one room or two persons for one room are available, and all rooms should come with single beds only. As to food, there are individual set meals and buffet to choose from. If customers do ask to share a whole table of Taiwanese cuisine in groups, for a table of 10, only 5 people may be seated, and they must use serving utensils. Outdoor activities are now recommended for tours in Taiwan. Visitors should wear masks, check body temperature, and keep hands sterilized as often as possible.
